Day 326 Intention ~ Celebrate My Love

Day 326 Intention ~ Celebrate My Love

Today is my husband's birthday! Happy Birthday to him!

He is the most important person in my world and therefore, I want him to have the most special day that he can! Of course, we try to celebrate life in general, but today is an extra special day to get to celebrate my love.

My advice, no matter who it is, if someone is special to you, let them know. Celebrate them! Live to love, love to live!

Til tomorrow...

Day 273 Intention ~ Get Back On Track

Day 273 Intention ~ Get Back On Track

There are a lot of wonderful things coming up for my husband and I in the next few weeks. We both have a lot of work to do to make these events successful. Sometimes, I think, in a bit of a childish way, we both tend to avoid these obligations by going out and celebrating our lives before we accomplish what we need to. I'm not saying we shouldn't celebrate life, but we also shouldn't avoid our responsibilities.

Today, it's back to reality, as I have classes and a lot of work to do at home before tomorrow. I am taking a hiatus from socializing to get my head screwed back on straight and until I get some of these "responsibilities" crossed off of my list. Then we can really celebrate...without any guilt!

Til tomorrow...

Day 173 Intention ~ Celebrate Life!

Day 173 Intention ~ Celebrate Life!

Today is one of those days where I had plans from a.m. through p.m. (Just making a quick pit stop to get this out.)
I won't lie, although each individual thing sounded fun, all in one day, to me, sounded like too much! I was kind of dreading it, but about to head to my last stop, today has been a barrel of fun! So, I am celebrating each moment & life!

Enjoy your Saturday night!

Day 158 Intention ~ Celebrate Love

Day 158 Intention ~ Celebrate Love

I am in love with love! It's true. Seeing people care for one another, whether it's romantic or just in a humankind sort of way, it always warms my heart.

Today, I am off to Indiana for a family wedding. This wedding is family on my husband's side. Two people marrying that I have never met, but I am excited to celebrate their love this evening and see others celebrate love.

Life is full of so many cycles and although we try to make the best of each situation, when we get the chance to really enjoy a milestone and celebrate, we should open ourselves and our hearts to that!

So today, I celebrate love & am going to try to share an open heart with all that I meet.

Til tomorrow...

Day 145 Intention ~ Let It Loose

Day 145 Intention ~ Let It Loose

Yep, this is one of those days that doesn't come around very often & probably won't again for this particular occasion. Today, I am driving to Toronto with my niece, Allison, to meet up with great friends and go see THE ROLLING STONES!!!

Now, I know they're gettin' old and they don't rock it out quite as hard as they used to, but nevertheless, they are rock royalty and their shows are an event in and of themselves. I have loved them since I was 10 years old and I still get giddy at the idea of going to see them live. The fact that I get to take my 23 year old to see them for the first time just makes it even better.

I am so so grateful to my good friends Jen & Tanya for giving me this gift and to my friend Z for handling the ticket ordering. Otherwise, I wouldn't be going.

So, today I am going to soak it all in, celebrate & let it loose!

Til tomorrow...

Day 88 Intention ~ Celebrate Spring!

Day 88 Intention ~ Celebrate Spring!

Okay, so this picture may seem more like, celebrate summer, but I have a lot of excitement over this nice weather.
Today in Cleveland, the sun is shining bright, it's 50 degrees out and it's supposed to be a beautiful weekend. Since Spring started, we have been hit by snow, after snow, after snow...none of it really sticking, but grey skies and snow do not a Spring-like day make. So, today, I celebrate!
And apparently, others feel the same. Everywhere I have ventured today, there are people all over, walking around, riding bikes, chatting, laughing and most importantly, smiling.
Amazing what a little sunshine can do for the spirit. I love all of the seasons, don't get me wrong, but there's just something about that bright sun after months of cloudy, grey , snowy days.
On that note, have a great Friday.

Day 31 Intention ~ Celebrate Milestones

Day 31 Intention ~ Celebrate Milestones

Celebrate! One month down on these intentions. One month on my resolutions and I have pretty much followed them...I have missed a couple days of yoga, but that was when I was on vacation. I have been following a vegan diet for 2 weeks as of today & feel pretty great!

We should all celebrate life a little more than we do. Enjoy it, live each moment fully, truthfully, with grace & love. We only get a short time here in this life, so why not enjoy it?!

January 31st on my African proverb calendar states, "A wise person, like the moon, shows only the bright side of the world." Let's stay on that proverbial sunny side of the street.

Til tomorrow...

With love, shanti,

Marcia

Day 24 ~ To Appreciate This Life

Day 24 ~ To appreciate this life.

I remember about a year and a half ago, sitting at my work desk, I would catch myself daydreaming, wishing I could just work from home and teach yoga and not be "stuck" in an office 8:30-5:30 each day. Today, the temperatures have warmed to a balmy 19 degrees, which believe me feels warm compared to the 6 degrees it was yesterday and the day before. It helped that the sun peeked out of the clouds too. I was taking George, my beloved dog, on a snow walk this afternoon and I realized that I am now doing what I used to daydream about at my old job.

How lucky is that?!?! I can sit at my own computer in whatever clothes I choose and work on my writing assignments, I can walk my dog in the middle of the day or run errands at "off" times, I can even go to those middle of the day yoga classes that aren't filled to the brim. Life is good. I try to appreciate it every single day, but some days it is just more smack in the face obvious.

Often in class, I ask my students to celebrate each step in their journey...today I am listening to my own advice.

Til tomorrow.

Shanti,

Marcia
