Day 293 Intention ~ Relax

Day 293 Intention ~ Relax

It's Sunday. This is usually the one day a week I take off, but today, I subbed a class. I also have some knit work to do, but that is super laid back.

John & I were talking last night about a few things that we did need to get done today. When I got home from my class this afternoon, I asked him what was on the list again. As he went down the items, the last thing he said was, "And most importantly, the number one thing we need to do today is...relax."

So, there it is. There is my intention for the rest of my Sunday. Although with the Browns in Green Bay today, not sure if I'll be able to relax. ha!

Til tomorrow...

Day 286 Intention ~ Take Today With Ease

Day 286 Intention ~ Take Today With Ease

It is Sunday after all! It was a nice morning to sleep until I naturally woke up sans alarm (even George let us sleep in ~ good dog). Although there is always stuff to do, I love Sunday because it is the one day of the week that John & I have together that we don't have to, usually, go to work.

Especially today when it's a little bit drizzly and football is on, it's nice to just hang out and chill. It is a great day to recoup and prepare for the coming week.

So, I'm easy...like Sunday morning, even now that it's the evening :)

Day 279 Intention ~ Sleepy Sunday

Day 279 Intention ~ Sleepy Sunday

This Sunday is the perfect sleepy Sunday. No obligations, rainy plus too much celebrating with an old friend last night kicked my laziness into gear. Once I decided it was okay to do absolutely nothing today, there was no guilt and I even feel like I caught up on my sleep, which has been lacking in the past week.

We all need days like this once in awhile. Learning to just be okay with turning "off" and relaxing.

Felt good!

Day 83 Intention ~ Have Gratitude

Day 83 Intention ~ Have Gratitude

Being thankful for all of the wonderful things we have in life is a great way to keep us present and it allows us to appreciate what we have rather than what we don't. It's easy to start the comparison game or the glass half empty game in our minds and feel bogged down. When we look at all the good, even the tiniest little thing, we will love our life, just as it is.

Eventually, we also appreciate the tougher, hard things in life. We are open to what they are trying to teach us. When we open up to these things, the sooner they can start to resolve themselves.

Each morning when you wake up, think of something that you are grateful for and I assure you, it will start your day off on the right foot.

Today, I am grateful for Sunday morning.

Day 27 Intention ~ Embrace All That Comes My Way

Day 27 Intention ~ Embrace all that comes my way.

Sunday. I love Sundays. Even though I usually have work to do, I don't usually teach any classes. Today I subbed a short 45 minute class. It was fun. It actually got me to motivate a little more than usual on a Sunday (the 45 minutes of spinning before the 45 minutes of yoga didn't hurt either). I came home walked the dog, connected with friends on Facebook, relaxed on the couch and watched a dvd, snuggled with my dog and laughed with my husband. Now, I am going to work on my writing assignments a bit, then make dinner and call my parents. It could sound too busy for a Sunday, but it's all been in a nice relaxed effort (well, except the spinning).

Today has offered all sorts of enjoyable moments already with more to come. The reality of it is that with my work schedule, most days could be led this way. Just enjoyable & relaxed, embracing each moment in this great life. There is something about that Sunday feeling though that gives it a special feeling. So, my intention not only for today, but for all days is to embrace each moment, enjoy it, soak it in and I imagine my heart will be filled with joy and love...care to join me?

Til tomorrow...
